Trish and Brittaney are a buddy pair from the LSU Chapter and have been matched since September. Brittaney describes their friendship, I feel like I've found a lifelong friend. She's actually a perfect match for me-- who would have known I would ever meet someone who talks JUST as much as me.
We both had a blast and absolutely loved Buddy Caroling together-- we were even practicing on the way there! Trish is such an amazing person inside and out, she's one of the most genuine people I know.
Even when I have the worst days, after hanging out with her it always seems to brighten my day. I am so thankful that I got involved with Best Buddies-- it truly has changed my life and allowed me to meet some really great people.
On Sunday, December 13, 2009, over 40 Best Buddies Participants came together to spread some cheer in the University Club South Subdivision. The Buddy Pairs went out in small groups with their Caroling Books and sang Christmas Songs throughout the neighborhood for over an hour. Brenda Barber, A resident of UCS, said, it was such a nice touch and really put me in the Christmas Spirit. Thank you!
The event was hosted by Lori Moore, Tera LeBlanc, Michelle Newman, and Gina Thompson for all the Baton Rouge Area Chapters.
